Dr. Bawa is a consultant to FHI for IBBA Project funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation from March, 2005 onwards and provides consultancy in the areas of inspection of various laboratories at district level, state level and reference level, up-gradation of these facilities by procurement of kits and instruments, training of manpower in Total Quality Management Systems, devising custom protocols and SOPs for efficient and effective coordination among different layers of workers involved in the study.
